Indie Live TV is determined to manifest, capture, and help develop future leaders in our community… I’m a firm believer that children need a consistent outlet to display their creativity! Whether it be education, sports, art, constructing things– whatever! Kids these days need more positive places, and positive influences around them to decipher what they can not yet see!
Indie Live is presenting Radical Saturdays ARTS AND FOOD FESTIVAL to help provide a monthly safe haven for children, in particularly the African-American community; to ensure creative, social, and beneficial development. Teaching them how to maintain social, personal, & interpersonal relationships for a brighter future.

Rantings Of Mocha PSA:
**THIS IS A POSITIVE COMMUNITY EVENT FOR THE YOUTH! ABSOLUTELY NO NEGATIVITY ALLOWED.. PERIOD!**
Allow your child to be among other children and strong motivational leaders, like yourself, within the community! Allow yourself to be among other parents that will be able to understand your joys & struggles, possibly offering advice you can utilize! Sometimes all you need is a good pep talk! Indie Live will host prominent speakers at each event that will discuss important issues with parents & children.
Have you ever noticed that something was bothering your child? When you try to talk to them, they seem distant? They lash out at you in anger? Frustration? Does it take a toll on your mind, body, and soul? You are definitely not alone!I’ll share my experience with you…
My son nevvver had an actual tablet. He’s always used an Innotab… You know, those tablets that your kid can only play educational games on? He learned so much fast in the summer with it!
One Christmas, I decided to get him a Android system ran tablet. I kinda wanted it myself 😂 I’m not going to lie.. (Especially since he cracked my tablet’s screen!) I was still very skeptical after installing parental settings and all.. He was 6, you know? Was he too young? Possibly.. But kids now-a-days are born into technology. They can literally use smartphones at 3 months 😂 #SadButTrue Parenting is a learning experience..
Anywho, he harrrrrraaaassssseeeedd (do you get my emphasis hunnnayy?) me to get him Minecraft.. I could of sworn my name waas Minecraft, that’s how much he called it 😢🙅
I installed the game for $6.99 or so just to shut him up Lol Hey we as parents think it, I’m just putting it into text.. Don’t judge me! Now, my son is excessively greedy… It got to the point where all he wanted to do was play Minecraft. He would literally say “I’m Not Hungry”
😶 (… Where’s My Son?) 👀
His head would be constantly down; focusing on a pixelated game that looks like it came out in 1988. He wasn’t interested in going outside to play anymore. He wasn’t as focused on his school work as before.
I then noticed the changes that would occur if I ALLOWED his mind to be developed by a computer program! I suggest to you; we limit as much technology influences as possible and develop youth young, early, and while we can instill knowledge that can be gained through social interactions!
A lot of the times as parents, we know when something isn’t necessarily sitting right with our children. Sometimes we don’t know, and that’s okay! Come surround yourself and start a discussion at #RadicalSaturdays. Don’t be shy! Make a support partner! Meet another Mom/Dad, Grandparent, or Guardian who has made it through the “Teenage Years”! Maybe the “Terrible Two’s” anyone?????? 😖Lol Spark the change in you to #BeGreat, #BeYou, #Beinspiring With Indie Live’s #RadicalSaturdays!!
Okay, You know I like taking surveys.. More than 79% of parents surveyed, admitted that they don’t know how to get their child to open up about important issues that bothered them. Less than 30%, actually sought out help from other parents they know for suggestions. The top reason? Mainly because they didn’t want to burden others with their problems.. Anything in the community that negatively affects 1 person in the community. ….Is Everyone’s Problem! We challenge you to ignite UNITY!
In the African-American community it’s some type of stigma on conversation. Everything translates to shade… You can’t even compliment a person without them second guessing your intentions.. If respect is so big in the African-American community.. What’s stopping us from displaying it amongst each other? Why are we fearing to protect our children’s future?
We can take the time out of our day to entertain the drama in media, encourage/promote the continued disrespect of females, and the other many variables of why WE can’t be great… As a people..We tend to ignore each other’s accompliments, we tend to encourage bullying even as adults ( all day meme posters), and silently pray for another man’s downfall.. Why? If we want to positively influence the youth, it starts with the mature adults! We have to do better by enlightening them to fill up school desks, instead of the local “transit” hangouts.. We have to do better by enlightening them to explore the creative depths of their imagination!
RANTINGS OF MOCHA WILL BE IN THE BUILDING!! HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT TIME AT RADICAL SATURDAYS POWERED BY INDIE LIVE TV!!
